Sway Of The Verses is a graphic designer, DJ and radio presenter specialising in raga based music.
Weaving it into a broad spectrum of sounds including classic ragas, ghazals, qawaali, Panjabi folk, Indo-Jazz, lo-fi ambient vibes to hip-hop and electronic music.
His show on NTS, delves deep into the world of raga music, introducing concepts, recordings and musicians producing anaccessible guide to this vast musical tradition. Sway Of The Verses DJ sets at the Tate Lates, We Out Here, Dancing Family Festival have introduced the sounds to a wider and younger audience
Nāda Sonics—IRL: Listening Session
Nāda Sonics is an exploration into the world of of raga and tala -based music. Broadcast on NTS Radio since 2023, Sway of the Verses shares the intricacies of raga music, an ever evolving ancient musical tradition weaving through the numerous musicians, instruments, ragas, time-cycles and concepts of this genre.
The Nāda Sonics—IRL: Listening Session is a chance to experience this spiritual, moving music in a collective situation; experiencing an uninterrupted listening session of 90 mins, sat on the floor on cushions, sipping tea and melting away to the vibes. In an overwhelming, discordant world of chaos, this is an oasis of calm.
